The National Research Programme "Opportunities and Risks of Nanomaterials"  (NRP 64) is tailored to identify loopholes in our understanding regarding opportunities and inherent possible risks for humans and the environment in manufacturing, using and disposing of nanomaterial-based products. Research activities will start in December 2010.
